Onyria Palmares Golf Course in Portugal situated mainly on the northern part of the site, the Alvor course has a park character with mature trees and beautiful views of the Monchique hills. Elevation changes are an integral part of the design of these nine because the majority of golf holes go up hillsides or descend through intimate valleys. The park setting disappears briefly with a series of holes with larger views. A glimpse of the dunes and upcoming links is provided in the sixth and seventh holes. At the end of the tour, the course takes on the character of a park.
