Pine Cliffs is one of the most original golf courses in Portugal, built in a pine forest on sandstone cliffs overlooking the golden beaches of the Algarve. Located between Albufeira and Quarteira, this 9-hole, pristine golf course was designed by Martin Hawtree in a natural expanse with breathtaking views. The characteristic hole of the course is the difficult ‘Devil’s Parlor’ – a par 3 on the cliffs and the undulating green beach, where the landscape is really spectacular. The golf academy offers an indoor teaching center, state-of-the-art swing analysis cameras and PGA professional advice to perfect every aspect of your game.

Salgados Golf Course

Surrounded by water, the 18-hole CS Salgados Golf Course enjoys a scenic location in a protected nature reserve, where many lakes create habitats for endangered bird species. Located along the sunny coastline between Albufeira and Armação de Pêra, the course takes place on mostly flat terrain – although golfers need specific technical skills and precise driving to reach the greens. A thousand olive trees have recently been planted to highlight the picturesque beauty of this course. Beautiful beaches are within walking distance and the ocean views are really beautiful.

Vilamoura Oceânico PINHAL 

Inaugurated in 1976, the distinguished course “Dom Pedro Pinhal – Vilamoura” has been refined over the years. Renowned for its pristine pine-fringed fairways, the first nine holes wind their way through an exclusive residential complex while the other nine are built on hilly terrain offering a glimpse of the sea. One of the defining features of this course is the small size of its greens, requiring great precision in terms of approach shots. The “Dom Pedro Pinhal – Vilamoura” signature Hole is the 4th hole by 4, a complex shot played on a small lake at a hilly green.

Vilamoura Oceânico MILLENIUM

Vilamoura has long been recognized as one of the leading golf resorts in Europe. The exciting Oceânico Millennium was refitted in 2000 by Hawtree & Sons and extended to a full 18-hole course with a varied design and an interesting layout for all golfers. Some holes are placed in a verdant pine forest with narrow fairways, while others have an open design carved by lakes.

Balaia Golf Village (Albufeira Golf)

On the west side of Albufeira is the 18-hole Salgados Golf Course which is a “Links” style and includes many water hazards. There are also two popular, well-maintained 9-hole courses on the east side of the city, Pine Cliffs Golf Course and Balaia Golf Course.
