Golden Eagle
Golden Eagle Golf Course in Portugal located near Rio Maior, about 60 kilometers from Lisbon, the Golden Eagle Golf and Country Club is one of the newest gems of Portuguese golf. Previously, access was restricted to members and their guests, but since August 1997 it has been open to visitors.
Designed by the American architect Rocky Roquemore, the course covers 90 hectares and is framed by a landscape where stand out a beautiful local flora, sweet pines, decorative eucalyptus and acacia trees. Its design is typical of the modern American school, which means that the target golf is the most important point. The course totals 6,200 meters of championship tees for a Par 72 (37 + 35).
