Day 1: Your departure Point-TUNIS-TOZEUR

Flight from your departure airport via Tunis to Tozeur in the southwest of Tunisia where we will pick you up at the airport and take you to the hotel where we will have our first dinner together. During the night.

Day 2: TOZEUR-CHEBIKA OASIS-TAMERZA

First day on the bike, the itinerary will take us to our assistance vehicles to the mountain oasis of Chebika, but we will unload the bikes a little before reaching the oasis and pedaling through its palm grove. After visiting the pools in the shade of the palm trees beneath the surrounding high rock walls, we will continue to climb a winding road towards the oasis of Tamerza, visiting a pleasant and impressive canyon, hidden behind the old part of The Oasis. Day 3: TAMERZA-REDEYIF-METLAOUI

We will leave the camp in the morning and climb to the town of Redeyif. There we will have a magnificent view of the Salt Lake of Chott el-Gharsa from the top of a road, built by General Rommel during his North African campaign. A 7-kilometre descent will follow on concrete and gravel plates, then we’ll continue a little on the asphalt and gravel to a dry riverbed where the next mobile camp will be waiting for us among interesting rock formations. Day 4: METLAOUI-Jebel ASKARIYA-DOUZ

Due to the soft sand surface, the first step will be covered by our off-road vehicles. We will unload the bikes on the north side of the Jebel Askeriya and start cycling in a beautiful agricultural valley, surrounded by hand-worked fields. A climb to a clearly visible mountain pass will follow. At the top, another magnificent view will open in front of us, this time on the Salt Lake of Chott el-Djerid. On a shorter stretch, our bikes will probably have to be transferred by hand due to a difficult surface (large stones). After the descent to the plains, we will be taken care of by our assistance vehicle which will lead us to our next campsite in Douz. Today we stay in a city so dinner will be served in a restaurant downtown. Night in a camp in Douz.

Day 5: DOUZ-BIR ALKHAFAIR

A free morning in Douz to experience the local ambience. We will leave Douz in the afternoon and head south through the desert. The landscape is an open desert, without roads and colonies, stretching south to Libya. Dinner and overnight at Desert Soul Mobile Camp near a desert well.

Day 6: BIR ALKHAFAIR-TEMBAINE

This day is devoted to the visit of the mountain Tembaine which is the rest of the great continent of Gondwana. The trail is only 30 kilometers long, but we will cross two stretches of dunes that will require the transport of bicycles in case the sand is soft. From the top of the mountain, you can feel the refreshing breeze and enjoy the complete silence, accompanied by a view of endless dunes, stretching to the east, south and west to the horizon. Day 7: TEMBAINE-KSAR GHILANE

This full day will lead us through an open desert landscape (gravel), on a stretch of dunes and three cafes to the famous tourist oasis of Ksar Ghilane, known primarily for its thermal pool surrounded by bars selling beer. Spending time in hot water will be well received after the long desert stage. On that day, the Desert Soul Kitchen will be served in the evening and dinner will be served in the nearby restaurant. Day 8: KSAR GHILANE-REST Day
