The ribat is an old fortified monastery, built from the 8th century by the Arabs, Fatimid dynasty. The ribat was modified over the centuries. It is now a set of 4 buildings surrounding 2 inner courtyards. A minaret and a lookout tower complete the whole. We can go up to the Vigie tower.

A very beautiful festival is held in the Ribat compound in July and August.
