Hammamet, the Tunisian Saint Tropez

Tunisia, this lovely land, with a known history dating back four millennia, is now stable, and warmly welcoming to foreign visitors.

64 km south of Tunis and Situated in the south of the cap bon , the sophisticated beach resorts of Hammamet, capital of the Tunisian Riviera. Hammamet – from the Arabic al-hammamat, “the baths” – has been known since Roman times for the healing property of its waters.

The design was designed by the American golf course architect Ronald Fream of golfing. It consists of two 9-hole loops, which run through the undulating terrain of the course at the Yasmine Valley Golf Club. The layout is determined by narrow fairways, large, graduated greens, spectacular bunkers, uphill and downhill as well as some water hazards that are noticeable on the holes 1, 8 and 9. Since 2011, a transformation of the championship course by the architecture company Nicklaus Design was planned. Also in planning is another 18-hole course with par 72 and a length of 6,600 meters, which is to take over some holes of the existing golf course at the Yasmine Valley Golf Club. There is also a 9-hole executive course on the club grounds, whose fairways are between 75 and 155 metres long.
