SSJ: Scratch Score of the day. Depending on climatic conditions during a competition amateur, can change by one or two points. In general, the SSJ is modified according to the overall average performance of all competitors.

SSS: Standard Scratch Score. In normal weather conditions, score to be performed on the course to be in the par.

Stableford: Form of competition against the par, where pars are enhanced according to the index of course. A net par = 2 points, a net bogey= 1 point. More then that the players will have no points and can pick up he’s ball before the end of the hole. A player playing his handicap mark 36 points net.

Stance: Position of the feet of a player when he begins to address.

Stray ball: May be searched for five minutes. More then that, the player is penalized one point less and must play another ball from the last location.
