Impact: Describes the contact of the clubface and the ball.
Index: Numbers entered on the scorecard and indicating the order of the holes on which a player with a handicap receives a stroke (s).
Injury: A ball that a player thinks they can not play in their current position.
Insert: The insert is made of a synthetic material that brings a touch touper or softer impact, especially on materials.
Interlocking: See crisscross grip.
Incidental intervention: There is incidental intervention when a bullet is accidentally stopped or deflected by a foreign element. In these cases, the ball must be played where it lies without penalty. If it can not be recovered, another ball is substituted.
Iron: English term for an iron.
